I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language since 2014 in Mexico. I wasn’t raised in Mexico, actually I grew up in the United States, so English comes naturally to me. I started teaching after moving back to Mexico in 2013 and a friend suggested I should use my knowledge of the language to help others. I didn’t know where to start or even how to teach. Luckily I found a few courses by Cambridge Assessment English and International House that helped me prepare for this new career. Along the way I have fallen in love with teaching a foreign language. Everyday is different as is every student. As I like to call it, “It’s not teaching, it’s an exchange of knowledge”. You can learn a lot from helping others transmit their ideas into another language. My mission is to help as many people as I can get that new job they wanted, get a promotion at work or get that student visa they have been hoping for.

Enseño inglés como lengua extranjera desde 2014 en México. No me crié en México, de hecho crecí en los Estados Unidos, así que el inglés me resulta natural. Comencé a enseñar después de regresar a México en 2013 y un amigo me sugirió que debería usar mi conocimiento del idioma para ayudar a otros. No sabía por dónde empezar ni siquiera cómo enseñar. Afortunadamente, encontré algunos cursos de Cambridge Assessment English  e International House que me ayudaron a prepararme para esta nueva carrera. En el camino me he enamorado de la enseñanza de una lengua extranjera. Cada día es diferente como lo es cada estudiante. Como me gusta llamarlo, "No es enseñar, es un intercambio de conocimientos". Puedes aprender mucho ayudando a otros a transmitir sus ideas a otro idioma. Mi misión es ayudar a tantas personas como pueda a conseguir ese nuevo trabajo que querían o conseguir un ascenso en el trabajo o  la visa de estudiante que estaban esperando.
